Using American English for English learners is the best

English is an international language that becomes the most important communication equipment to be able to interact with people around the world. English itself is divided into 3, they are American English, British English, and Australian English but the more familiar and often used is British English and American English, this is because both have been much earlier in influencing communication internationally. The role of English in economics and education becomes very important because of its position as an international language. People who are able to master the English language will certainly have many advantages and has more value compared with people who do not master the English especially in the English language moreover in work environment is needed in the current era. However, the use of American English style for English learners is the best it has generated debate in its use, especially for English learners who will choose a more appropriate and easy to use English style until the future. Some people claim that the use of American English style is considered easier and has many advantages in its use especially for English learners, This is because the United States is a developed and powerful country of all aspects, therefore using the American style of English would be more advantageous for English learner.

Opponents Argue that American English is a foreign language that will sound unfamiliar to countries that are not accustomed to using English, in addition its use is difficult to understand and has difficult rules also in its use, such as having to use tensis, grammar, and complicated sentence patterns. It really make it difficult and frustrating (WHITALTIZER). However, American english in modern era has been known by all people in the world because of its existence that play a role in technological progress, for its own difficulties American English is not at issue, even an English speaker and teacher, Reza Martin claims that it is advisable to use Amerian English style for English learners, as American English is easier to learn and use especially in speaking (Admin, 2013 ). In addition, there is another opinion from a linguist, John Algeo who says that American English is the oldest English because American English pronunciation does not change or eliminate some letters in words, such as the removal of the letter R in British English. Thus, American English retains the words and languages that have been used for a long time, proving that American English with the use of unchanging words and languages will not make the English learner difficult to learn (Pitas, 2014). However, although American English is considered easier than other English, it does not mean that American English is the best English style for English Learner students, because English Learner must adapt the use of the English style based on their ability and based on they want. In fact, Most English Learner does not consider the use of American style based on the benefits offered but based on their comfort and preferences in using the English Style. In addition American English is not the oldest English but British English is older and it does not affect the ease of language, because good language is a language that is evolving and changing (Khan).

Opponets also maintan that Using American English is instant that will lead to a lack of thorough understanding of the correct English. One of them is Mr. Webster, in addition to having an advantage, It also has a deficiency such as spelling that does not match or the same with other English, then its instant nature that makes users become lazy to read the manual dictionary (Olegovna, 2016). However, American English has utilized modern technology to make it easier for people to learn English, especially English Learner. In fact, American English has a more economical phonetic spelling (Elena, 2016). In addition, American culture has been very widespread throughout the world, the use of American English is also applied in various media, one of which is the internet. Therefore, it will be a little of the number of words in American English that are not familiar to people (PELL, 2017). However, the use of technology does not apply to overcome all English Learner difficulties. Like when they adapt to people who do not use American English. There are many words used almost exclusively by Americans understood by most Englishmen, and vice versa. But there are others that can cause difficulties. For example, most British people know that Americans call biscuits and flat apartments, but do not really know what an alumnus or fender (Shoebottom, 1996).

The final argument of the opponents is Using and Learning American English does not guarantee success in the future, even though America is a big country but it is still difficult to change our lives financially except with hard work and sacrifice. In fact people who have been successful are people who want to try and want to sacrifice (SWINEHART, 2015). But Using American English is one of part to support the succes, because with the learning and using American English as a process in trying to achieve success. Faktanya banyak Indonesian English learner yang mendapat beasiswa pendidikan di Amerika karena kemampuan bahasa inggris mereka (Ruden, 2017). No matter how successful a person remains dependent on hard work and sacrifice, Learning American English is only a small part. In fact Learning American English does not always get a good job opportunity because of competition based on its ability, but American English is often claimed to be rude this is because American society often use slang.

In conclusion, American English is the English style of many English in the world. American English has been regarded as the best English style that English learners can use, as it has many benefits for future English learners. In addition, the existing comfort in American English is considered very good for use in the modern era as it is now. Therefore, to determine the appropriate English style, English learners should consider many things such as perceived convenience or are considered more profitable.
